Process
The sludge dewatering centrate has a very high nitrogen concentration. With the return water treatment this load is being reduced in such way that the waste water can be treated in the biological stage.
SBR-processes are conventionally run with nitrification/denitrification or with partial nitrification and anaerobic ammonium oxidation (PNAA).
